School Dance Team Rules
School dance teams will follow current UDA rules and guidelines.

Categories: Jazz, Hip Hop, Pom, Kick, and Game Day

Divisions: Junior High, Junior Varsity, Small Varsity, Medium Varsity, Large Varsity, Varsity Intermediate
Studio Competition Team and All-star Team Rules
Categories: Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Hip Hop, Kick, Pom, Ballet, Open
​
Age Divisions (Use the average age of your group using age as of January 1, 2024 and deleting the decimal.)
Mini: 5 and under Petite: 6-8
Junior: 9-12 Teen: 13-15
Senior: 16 and up

Entry Sizes:
Solo (1 dancer) Duo/Trio (2-3 dancers)
Small Group (4-9 dancers) Large Group (10+ dancers)
Productions (10+ dancers and over 3 minutes in length)

Time Limit:
Solos/Duos/Trios/Groups: 3 minutes
Productions: 7 minutes
